SBE19 - the Sustainable Built Environment Conference November 21-22

The International event is part of the 2019 International Sustainable Built Environment conference series convened under the auspices of the five international organisations: iiSBE (International Initiative for Sustainability in the Built Environment), CIB, UNEP-SBCI, and FIDIC. SBE19 is the second conference in the International SBE Series to be held in Malta following the success of the SBE16 Malta Conference.

SBE19 conference topics include Sustainable materials in engineering; Building Assessment Tools and Methods; Sustainable refurbishment; Renewable Energy Technologies, sources in the built environment; Building systems and processes in urban regeneration and spatial planning; socio-economic considerations in a sustainable built environment - and Smart buildings;

The local organiser is SBE Malta, the iiSBE Malta Chapter, collaborating with various entities in Malta including the University of Malta, the Building Industry Consultative Council (BICC) of the Government of Malta and the Ministry for the Environment, Sustainable Development and Climate Change, Malta, and the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST). The conference is held in Malta at the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, addressing Europe and the Mediterranean Region. The UNESCO World Heritage Baroque city of Valletta, the Capital city of Malta was the European Capital of Culture for 2018.
